HELSINKI FIXED (tourist info in English)

Hey guys ! Thanks for answering the thread !

Finally I feel a little less alone in my non-finnish speaking state !
Just guys remember that I don’t know about what everything is about.

Link to other thread doesn’t help so much either ! ; )

daniel - 20:42, 27.10.2013 » I don't get it. Lone wolf -> doesn't want to make friends Non-finnish speaking people posting into this thread -> do want to make friends I don't see the connection or even more the necessity to link this lone wolf stuff into this thread. I know it's serving some people as an insider joke, so thanks for that... i guess. However, I hope that you all non-finnish speaking people do try to join our activities because you are more than welcome. We on our behalf try to inform you better on what's happening. So what were the next sure things to happen? [s]27.11.[/s]23.11. [NewGen alleycat](https://www.yksivaihde.net/old/18256) (more info later) 7.12. 5pm [Yksivaihde.net Christmas Party](https://www.yksivaihde.net/old/18141) @ Huilaamo, Suvilahti - [FB-event](https://www.facebook.com/events/166933723509286)
NewGen alleycat changed to 23.11. but apparently there is "keskarikuppi" alleycat race on 27.11.

jay, it’s probably best that if you want to come along to an event, just go ahead and post any questions you might have on the event’s discussion thread. Someone will then translate or otherwise help you with the info, location or whatever.

And especially the Xmas party is not be missed.

Hi!

Upcoming?

Hello!

I moved to Helsinki about 3 weeks ago and brought 2 of my bikes with me, one of them fixed gear. Just found this forum after standing on my balcony and seeing a group of people on fixed/ss bikes go past. Was tempted to shout “do a skid!” but realised that is a LFGSS.com thing so wasn’t sure how it would go down here

Be interested in joining in some rides, although first need to get some 28mm tyres as 23mm on the bumpy and gravelly streets and cyclepaths of Helsinki isn’t proving too easy.

The local shoutout is "Täysii!", stands for 'full speed'. Your welcome to try it out next time ;)
