Simpel Summer Session in Kamppi, Helsinki!

Hey everyone!

It’s Risto. Some of you guys know me from doing the Bicycle Film Festival in Tallinn.

We have a new very exciting event coming in Helsinki. I know it’s not fixed gear but hear me out:)
Well, it’s BMX but since all odds show it’s going to be very top level and fun, then maybe you guys are interested to check it out.

SUMMER VERSION OF SIMPEL SESSION!

STADI SUMMER SESSION
Time: Saturday 20th of August 2011
Place: Narinkkatori/Kamppi, Helsinki Finland

Prepare for awesome nordic BMX this summer, as Simpel Summer Session returns to Stadi – Helsinki for the second time! Unlike our Tallinn events in February, the Summer Session is an outdoor event, so expect warm sunny weather, breezy hang-outs in the greenery and lots of spontaneous street riding on the great streets of Helsinki.

Summer Session will take place in an exciting location in the very heart of Helsinki – on it’s main square – the Narinkkatori in front of Kamppi center and it’s free. The brand new course is designed by skatepark wizard Nate Wessel and built by Session Ramps. The event will be hosted by New York’s BMX living legend and super rad dude Darryl Nau together with European BMX guru Andy Zeiss. Finnish mic support will be given by Tommidmg.

Of course there is a good party in the program and everything else that has become expected from the good times of Simpel Session events.

See you @ Summer Session in Helsinki Finland!

Having started out as just a local jam 12 years ago, Simpel Session has worked its way up to become one of the biggest and best contests in the world of BMX bikes and skateboarding. And not because of the massive media coverage or hefty prize purse, but more for its ability of attracting the biggest names in the business, a mind-blowingly impressive new course each year, and the laid-back vibe with a feeling of a giant BMX and skateboard party. Simpel Session is a celebration of everything that is amazing about BMX and skateboarding. Now coming to Helsinki!
