Vintage Nopsa "Commander" 70's(?)

Open for offer - located in Helsinki

Bike is in good condition. There is no rust even though it looks like there is. It’s only because I took these photos during a sunset.

No...(?)

I think pocky is suggesting that your asking price is pretty steep. It is a low end Nopsa with a bent seat post.

Hi jmrepresent, cool laid-back whip you got there!

Would you sell that rusty chain separately? I’m interested!!!

I would possibly also want to purchase those peddles, in case they are not stuck too hard on the crank arms?

jussi, there was a time for trolling in this thread and you missed it by 8 hours.

whip

Oh well, I apologize for sleeping on this, I was literally sleeping 8 hours ago.

and jmrespresent, although I have absolutely nothing to do with Kumiluoti I feel obliged to apologize on behalf of them that they actually sold this Nopsa to you.

Not to completely ruin your sales, but… I really don’t think a drop bar and coaster brake is a good combination.

And it dearly can’t be 70’s bike (I know, I know, the chain looks like it is). No lugs, quite ehh… nice brazing.

One more thing: It’s with fauber. Faubers can’t be sold with a prize that high, unless the bike would be really vintage.

I’d recommend other kinds of marketplaces

Why couldn’t it be 70s (sure looks like 70s or early 80s to me)? And why does it matter? But yeah, it’s a steep price for that. Put it on huuto.net with a low starting bid and see what you can get. I doubt it’ll be more than 30€.

A 150 € will get you an old low-end road bike, like a Peugeot or a Crescent, so in this market that sum for a Nopsa touring bike (that’s in quite rough condition, I must add) is a lot. Here’s another old Nopsa (in much better condition) if you want to see what sort of money you could get from yours.
And yes, Huuto.net is a better place to sell this kind of bike
Edit. Don’t get me wrong, you can make something very nice out of this kind of bike, but you will never get your money back…

Niin, mutta kun se on Kumiluodin tuunaama.

NO MUT KUMI LUOTI!
Meinaatko että Helsingin kovin kivijalkapuoti ukottais ketää?!

Actually this bike is in quite good condition. There’s NO rust on the bike. I think it looks like there is because there is reflected light from a sunset during the time that I took the images. There is also a bit of dirt on the lower frame that looks like rust in the image. I will retake photos of it. Seriously I wouldn’t try to sell an older bike in bad condition. And btw, the price is suggested and open for OFFER, as you can clearly see, but I’ll edit that since it’s apparent that no one read it. Thanks for your comments  Good show!

not to ruin anyones sale here but you need to invest 100€ worth of parts on that one to get it sold for 150€. And as a sidenote Finns dont like to bargain, ormaybe they cant. As mentioned before better put it up for like 20€ starting bid on huuto.

Cannot hold myself off : I like to bargain, and a lot ( Mualiman mukavin heleppoheikk -an elderly guy from Savo :-) )

Hei!
Was this frame ever sold to someone on the forum? I have the same frame, and I’m thinking of fixing it, so I’d like to see what can be made of it! (also interested in the old wheels if they are for sale!)
thanks
